P.O.S.E. Primery Obesity Surgery Endolumenal

Primary Obesity Surgery Endolumenal POSE

It is an endoscopic procedure used for reducing the capacity of the stomach.

The intervention is performed through the mouth and inside the stomach without making any incisions.

Special instruments are inserted through the endoscope to create folds in the stomach wall. These folds reduce the capacity and size of the stomach, which means feeling fuller after eating smaller meals and thereby reducing food intake.

It is performed in the operating room under general anaesthesia and the patient can go home that day or stay overnight for observation.
