Abdominal Ultrasound

Ultrasound examination of the abdominal wall and inside this cavity. It is a basic exploration in digestive medicine consultation because of the simplicity and extensive information obtained from liver, pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, female reproductive organs, prostate, blood vessels and intraperitoneal content.
ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND DOPPLER
This variant of abdominal ultrasound is specifically designed to study the great abdominal vessels and vascularization of organs and abdominal injuries.
UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND
Gastrointestinal Endoscopic ultrasound or upper endoscopic ultrasonography, is an examination that allows direct visualization of the inside of the esophagus, stomach, and sonographic visualization of the inside of its wall and also nearby structures (mediastinum, pancreas, bile duct, etc.) .
This is possible because the endoscopic ultrasound endoscopy is a tube incorporating a scanner at its distal end.
Preparation is the same as for gastroscopy. Scanning is also done with sedation so that once completed the patient should wait a while to be recovered to go home. In some cases it is necessary to make a therapeutic maneuver or puncture so we will recommend hospitalization for better control.
LOWER GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND
Gastrointestinal Endoscopic ultrasound or lower endoscopic ultrasonography, is an examination that allows direct visualization of the inside of the rectum and colon, and sonographic visualization of the inside of its wall and also nearby structures (muscles and anal structures, and elements of the pelvis).
